Contest closes Dec. 10, 2021 

New Brunswick’s Centre of Excellence for Energy is providing students of all grades the opportunity to put their Minecraft skills up to the ultimate challenge to win their classroom the first-place prize of an NB Power field trip. Teachers and parents are encouraged to share this experiential learning opportunity with interested youth, so they can continue to have their usual fun with video games while learning about the components required to make the Mactaquac Hydroelectric Generating Station. The Newfoundland and Labrador Environmental Industry Association, the Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Industries Association, Marine Renewables Canada, and the Maritimes Energy Association are offering a series of 16 presentations exploring the applications of clean technologies in the blue economy, sharing leading-edge innovation and featuring Atlantic Canadian firms that are taking their products and services globally. The series is free and virtual but online registration is required.
